Robbery:

If a robber asks you for your wallet or purse, DON'T GIVE IT TO HIM -- simply TOSS IT AWAY from you.

Chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/purse. In the meantime, SCREAM & RUN as fast as you can in the opposite direction.

If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car:

... kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy.. The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.

Attack in your car:

If someone does get into your car and orders you to drive off, DO NOT DRIVE OFF. By getting you into the vehicle, the attacker has shown his intention to injure or kill you. Instead speed into anything (obviously not other people), wrecking the car. Your Air Bag will save you, but your attacker is likely to get the worst of it. As soon as the car crashes bail out and run. If unable to do that, honk the horn to get the attention of other people.

Self-defense: Steps to SurvivalPhysical Attack:

If you ever feel threatened, you should shout or scream to draw attention to the situation. An excellent attention getter is to yell "FIRE!". That gets people's attention quickly, and attention is what the criminal wants least. Use your natural weapons - voice, hands, and feet - to stop an attack

If you are being attacked from the back stomp the attacker's foot with your heel; kick backward with your heel, aiming for the groin or knees or elbow the attacker in the head, throat, or area between the rib cage and stomach. Another move is to slam your head backward into the attacker's face. And SCREAM & RUN! (Criminals hate attention -- loud screams will get them away from you as fast as they can!)

If you are being physically attacked from the front use strong parts of your body to deliver strong blows to your attacker: the bottoms of your feet, your elbows and your hands. Aim at the weak parts of the attacker - eyes, throat, groin and knees. The heel of your palm right into the tip of your attacker's nose will also get his attention. If the attacker grabs your legs, fight with your arms. Gouge his eyes, crush his windpipe, rake his shins, rip his ears off, and bite any part of him you can. Fight dirty to save your life and SCREAM & RUN!

The predator has a gun: By displaying a weapon he has threatened your life, and you have to believe that he means it. You need to get out of this situation before he completes his threat. SCREAM AND RUN! The predator will only hit a moving target 4 in 100 times; and even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN in a zig -zag pattern, constantly looking for cover. However, concentrate on gaining distance. It is very difficult for even the best marksman to hit a moving target - especially if the target is over 15 yards away. The odds are on your side with every yard you gain.

Fight like a girl and win!

AnchorPrevention is best

  1. Whenever you are alone in the car -- especially when the car is standing, always lock the doors. Avoid standing in areas with little foot traffic. Parking lots are also dangerous...

  2.
  3. Before getting into your car ...
    • Look into your car, at the passenger side floor , and in the back seat.
    • If your car is parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
    • Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side... If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out.

  4.
  5. In public buildings ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. Stairwells are the perfect crime spot -especially at night!

  6.
  7. Don't fall for their tricks!
    • Someone Asking for Help: Particularly women tend to be sympathetic. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted  his next victim.
    • Crying Baby: In another instant, a woman heard a crying baby on her porch at night. She called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird.. The police told her 'Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.' The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over. The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.' He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear baby's cries outside their doors when they're home alone at night. The Crying Baby Theory was mentioned on America 's Most Wanted when they profiled the serial killer in Louisiana.
    • The Water scam! If you wake up in the middle of the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is a burst pipe, DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your outside taps full ball so that you will go out to investigate and then they attack.
